Ready, Set, Cut!
You have your fabric, you’ve downloaded the Haven QAL Guide, and now you’re ready to get started!
I highly recommend cutting ALL the pieces for the quilt top. There are a lot! But if you take it fabric by fabric, then it’s not so bad – I promise!
Don’t have fabric yet? Get a kit!
Organize your cut pieces
It’s important to organize the pieces of each fabric, and I find it best to do this once I’ve cut all of a fabric (but you could also do it after each size piece is cut – whatever works for you!) Page 7 of the guide explains where each piece goes. I keep my pieces in baggies labeled with which block/unit. (Labels are in the guide too!)
Take your time and check off cuts as you go.
Oh – and the teals/salmons are interchangeable in that it doesn’t matter which is #1, #2, or #3.
